Home       About       Contact

Carrie has been involved with horses for more than half her life. Her knowledge is earned from years of working with horses’ day in and day out and from training with some of the top professionals in the country. That knowledge is enhanced by a four-year degree from Penn State in large animal science with a concentration in animal nutrition.

Carrie worked for two time gold medallist Phillip Dutton for two and half years. While there she evented thru intermediate level, completing and placing in two, three- day events, as well as starting all young horses under saddle. She has taken all the experience with young horses over to her own business and currently works with may young and green horses at her farm. In the last two years she has taken a number of young warmbloods from the round pen to the winners circle at Dressage at Devon.

Most recently, Carrie and Renia, a young horse she started, were awarded high score mare for comformation and rideability at Hill Top farm’s Hanoverian testing.

Carrie also has a love for teaching and connecting with both horse and human. Focusing mainly adult amateurs and young adults she is very good at relating to people and their individual goals.

She understands that success is measured differently by each individual and tailors a training program to meet those needs.

Carrie prides herself on helping people achieve more than they expected from themselves in a positive, supportive environment.

Many of these people have written testimonials so feel free to explore the website and read what other people’s experiences have been.

Furthermore, Carrie has a talent for reschooling horses with behavioral problems. She also, routinely competes client’s horses both in eventing and dressage.

Carrie resides at Covey Run Farm with her husband Carl, step son Jacob and their dog, Scrappy.
